As a Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the last five years, Coach Bay has been responsible for overseeing the college’s strength and conditioning program, which supports student-athletes across multiple sports.
Coach Bay is finishing up her 6th year coaching at the Division III Level, as the Associate Head Track & Field and Assistant Cross Country Coach. During track season, her focus is primarily the throwing events, shot put, discus, weight, hammer, and javelin.
In her two years so far at Principia College, Coach Bay has guided one male to break the indoor shot put record, ten All-Conference winners in the throw events, with two of those being SLIAC champions in hammer.
While at Fontbonne University, Coach Bay has guided one female to indoor nationals in the shot put and weight throw, 18 All-Conference athletes with four of those being SLIAC conference champions in shot put (2x), weight throw, and hammer, 21 school records between the five throwing events; shot, discus, hammer, weight throw, and javelin, two Field Newcomers of the Year and one Field Athlete of the Year.
Coach Bay attended Fontbonne from 2016-20, completing an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Management and Leadership. During her time at Fontbonne, she played basketball, tennis, ran cross country, and competed in track and field. Bay was two-time SLIAC All-Conference finisher in javelin, 4x1, 4x4, and a one-time All-Conference finish in the DMR.
Coach Bay is a CSCS Certified Coach. She also holds her USATF Level 1 certification, which she obtained in 2020 as a graduate assistant for the track and field program. In 2022, she obtained her USATF Level 2 certification in Throws. She also holds a Track and Field Technical Certification and Strength and Conditioning Certification through USTFCCCA.
